Laylatul Qadr / Shahadat Imam Ali (AS)

"In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Verily We sent it (the Quran) down in the night of Qadr (power). What shall make you know what the night of predestination is? The night of Qadr is better than a thousand months. The angels and the (holy) spirit descend therein by the permission of their Lord, with (decrees) for all affairs. (It is all) peace, till the break of dawn". (Surah al-Qadr: Chapter 97)

On this Holy Night

If a person has annoyed his parents, he should vow to make and always keep them happy
If a person is proud and arrogant, he should vow to become humble and polite
If a person is stingy, he should vow to become generous
If a person is ignorant about religious matters, he should vow to acquire its knowledge
If a person has severed his relation with his kin, he should vow to re-establish it
If a person has rebelled against Allah (SWT), he should vow to become obedient to Him
If a person is selfish, he should vow to become selfless
If a person is malicious, he should vow to become kind and clean hearted
If a person has harmed others, he should vow to ammend his ways with them

Allahummalan Qatalata Ameeril Mumineen

"Oh Allah, Curse the killers of of the Commander of the Believers"

Marhum Pyaralibhai Jakhara of Derby was called to the mercy of Almighty Allah (SWT) on Tuesday 18th September.

Burial will take place on Wednesday 19th September.
3:30pm SHARP Namaaz-e-Janaza at Masjid Al Husayn.
4:00pm Burial at Saffron Lane Cemetery, Leicester followed by Majlis at Masjid Al Husayn.

May Allah (SWT) bestow blessings on the departed soul.

News of Death - Allahma Syed Murtaza Askari - Tehran

Inna Lillah Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon

The World Federation has received sad news of the passing away of Allamah Syed Murtaza Askari in Tehran at the age of 98.
A former student of Imam Khomeini and Ayatullah Hakim, Syed Askari was a leading researcher and authored many books on aqaid, hadith and history. He also founded numerous educational centres in both Iraq and Iran. Many of his own students are now leading scholars and academics. His students state that Syed Askari was unique in the number of people he managed to bring to the Shia faith. One of the most interesting pieces ofhis research concluded that 150 so called 'companions' of the Holy Prophet never even existed and are completely made up.
Mu'mineen are requested to recite Fatiha.
