MKSI Leicester 8th Annual Matamdari Program will be held on the Shahadat of Imam Hassan (AS) on new years eve, Saturday 31 Dec 2011 inshallah. The Wafaat and Matamdari program will begin at 6:30pm with Maghrib Namaz followed by Niyaz. Thereafter will be majalis by Molana Akber Saki followed by the matamdari.  Many Nauha groups from around the UK will recite inshallah including groups from Birmingham, Stanmore, South London and Leicester.

MKSI Leicester 22nd Annual Juloose Aza will be held on Sunday 8th Jan 2012 inshallah. The Juloos program will begin at 12:14pm with Zohr Namaz followed by Juloos and Niyaz and evening ashra Zainabiya program.

About 400 Shia Muslims have attended an event in the centre of Leicester to mark an international day of mourning. The Day of Ashura, which takes place on Tuesday, is the climax of a period of remembrance for Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. The assembly in Humberstone Gate saw people dressed in black to recite eulogies and listen to speeches. Hussein was killed in Karbala, in what is now called Iraq, 1,300 years ago after standing up to a corrupt ruler.

This event is for mothers and children up to 8 years old to be held on Sunday 28th August 8.00pm to 9.30pm at the Al Zahra Centre. The Charge is £3.00 per person. Each child will be given an Eid Gift! Lots of games and prizes to be won! Children must be supervised by their mother at this event.

An-Nisa Girls Club has organised a Sports Day and Ramadhan Awareness talk on Sunday 10th July 2011. The event is open to anybody over 6yrs and there will be supervision at all times.

The program will be held at Masjid Al Husayn, Leicester and will start with Zohr Namaaz at 1.30pm, followed by the Ramadhan awareness talk. The sports day will commence immediately after the talk with the following races:
